‘Tis the season to start counting down the days until the big man in red comes sliding down our chimneys. What better way to get your family in the Christmas spirit than with this adorable DIY Christmas Countdown Sign? I love the way this countdown sign turned out, and it was so easy to make using my Cricut, some vinyl and just a few other supplies.

Instructions:
Gather your materials and load the Christmas Countdown SVG file into Cricut Design Space. Adjust the height to 15 inches if you’re using the same surface I’m using; otherwise measure your surface area and adjust the height accordingly.
Change the colors of any items you would like to be cut from the same colored vinyl. Attach any pieces that you would like to cut out as you see them in Design Space. Load vinyl onto your mat and proceed to cut your images. Weed away any unnecessary vinyl.
Cover your vinyl pieces with blue painter’s tape or transfer tape. Remove backing material and place onto your frame, using a ruler to make sure it is centered. Press the vinyl to the frame until it is adhered well. Slowly peel away the transfer tape. Repeat this for all vinyl pieces.
Place your small grapevine wreath around one of your numbers to gauge where you would like to place your nail. Hammer the nail in place. Do this above all numbers 1-25.
Cut or pull apart your Christmas pick and attach them to your grapevine wreath with hot glue. Allow to cool.
Place your wreath around each number as you countdown to Christmas. Enjoy!
Notes:
If you would like to create an ombre look for your number tree, look at the preview screen in Cricut Design Space, and place your vinyl on your mat in the areas where you would like different colors. (There is a screenshot of this for your reference.)
Be sure to use premium vinyl on this piece to make it last through the years.
