- 1 large yellow bell pepper, cut into large chunks
- 1 large red onion, cut into large chunks
Yields: 4-6 skewers
Directions:
Add teriyaki sauce and cubed steak to a gallon-size sandwich bag. Allow it to marinate for a minimum of 20 minutes (and a maximum of one hour) in the refrigerator.
Preheat grill to high and lightly oil its grill grates.
Thread bell peppers, onions and marinated meat onto each skewer.
Grill skewers for about 10 to 15 minutes, or until the meat is cooked to your liking.
Ingredients for Homemade Teriyaki Sauce:
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 5 tbsp packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
Directions for Homemade Teriyaki Sauce:
Add all ingredients (except for the water and cornstarch) in a saucepan. Bring ingredients to a simmer.
In a small bowl, create a slurry by mixing water and cornstarch. Mix until cornstarch is dissolved.
Once sauce is at the simmering stage, add cornstarch slurry to the saucepan and begin whisking until the sauce thickens.
Heat until thickens to desired thickness.
