My kids always love to eat whatever I’m eating, and they love to drink what I’m drinking. And if I’m drinking coffee, they always ask if they can have some!
And they will not stop asking for a sip… especially if I’m drinking something as yummy-looking as my Dalgona Coffee (check out the recipe here).
The only way I can guarantee they won’t ask for some of mine is if they have something yummy of their own. This kind-friendly version of Dalgona pretty much guarantees that you can drink your Dalgona coffee in peace while they enjoy a delicious treat that is basically something between chocolate milk and a milkshake.
So, make these for the kids and then make yourself a Dalgona Coffee. Hopefully they won’t finish drinking theirs before you can sit down!
What is Dalgona?
Real Dalgona Coffee is a sweet and smooth, creamy whipped coffee drink – meant for adults, obviously! But here is a version that can be made just for kiddos! They will feel super grown up and it’s a fun treat for them to enjoy while you’re drinking your Dalgona Coffee!
All you need to make the whipped Dalgona topping is: Chocolate Nesquik and Heavy Whipping Cream. The process is similar to real Dalgona Coffee but the ingredients and measurements are different.
How to Make Kid-Friendly Dalgona “Coffee” (whipped Nesquik powder – wink, wink)
Just measure 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream and one tablespoon of Chocolate Nesquik (powder or syrup works!). Then whisk or blend the mixture until it thickens and peaks begin to form.
Once the mixture has thickened, you can serve it over some ice milk (any kind works).
I hope your kids will love this, and hopefully you can enjoy a few moments alone with your own drink!
