Directions:
Begin by uploading your free Parasol Drink Umbrella SVG files to Design Space. Once uploaded, click on “Ungroup” on the layers panel. Select the layer with the fold lines and click “Line Type” towards the left of the toolbar. Click the drop down menu and select “Score.”
Next, select the score lines layer and the umbrella shape layer. Click “Attach” towards the bottom of the layers panel.
To cut the umbrella, click on “Make it.” Adjust your material dial/setting to medium card stock. Load your card stock onto the blue/green grip mat. Adjust your tool to either the scoring wheel or scoring stylus. Once prompted, load it into the machine and hit the flashing “Go” button.
Your umbrella pieces should now be cut – begin to fold the score lines, starting with the glue tab. The glue tab will begin with a mountain fold. The line after the glue tab will be a valley fold – every line that has a tiny knob will be a valley fold. Continue folding, alternating between mountain and valley folds. (If you follow the photos and green shots as a “folding guide,” it will definitely help you out!)
Add some hot glue on the glue tab to connect both ends of the umbrella. This will close it up.
Turn the folded umbrella upside down. Right in the center, add a generous amount of hot glue. Place one cake pop stick and hold until secure and dry.
