Materials and Supplies:
- 3 white dinner-size paper plates
- Green paint
- Red paint
- Black marker or paint
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- Metal brad
- Hole punch
Directions:
Begin by painting the center of each paper plate with red paint.
Paint the circumference of the paper plate with green paint, leaving white between the two colors.
You will want to leave one plate whole. Then, cut one plate in half and the other plate, cut into quarters.
Using either black paint or a permanent marker, draw seeds on each plate. Next, label the plates with the correct fraction (1/4, ยฝ, etc.)
Punch a hole in the middle of each of the plate halves and plate quarters.
Place the two halves together and thread a metal brad through the holes. Secure by fastening the metal brad on the back.
Repeat the last step but this time, for the quarter pieces together.
