Tools and Materials Needed:
- Simple coloring page printed on white thick cardstock (recommended)
- Watercolor paint palette
- Water
- Paintbrush
- White glue
- Salt
Directions:
Begin by tracing around the image on the coloring page with white glue.
Next, sprinkle salt on the glue outline – similar to what you would do with glitter. Tap the paper so the salt settles into any grooves. Then, gently lift the paper and shake to remove excess salt.
To add color to your creation, dip a paintbrush in water and blend with watercolor. This will give it a softer shade. To saturate the color, add more watercolor. Gently touch the paintbrush to the salt and watch the color spread!
Allow the picture to dry completely – then display or give as a unique gift!
