I’m all about cooking at home as much as possible. I mean, why order take-out when I can just make it myself (and better)?
Cooking at home has tons of benefits. First off, it’s much easier on the wallet. Second, when I make my family’s meals, I’m reassured that I know what actually goes into our dishes.
This chow mein recipe is jam-packed full of flavor! It tastes so much like my favorite takeout chow mein from Panda Express, but this one is made with ramen noodles which are, like, $0.25! Can’t get more cost effective than that!
Plus, it only takes about 15 minutes to prepare, making it a perfect, easy side dish for your weeknight dinner! This would be the perfect as a side dish to some orange glazed meatballs or some sweet and sour chicken!
So let’s get started in preparing this easy and yummy chow mein!
Ingredients:
- 2 packages dry Ramen noodles (cooked and drained – you will not use the
- spice packets)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium yellow onion , sliced
- Half of a small cabbage sliced in thin strips – about 8 oz
- 2 stalks of celery, cut into small pieces
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
