These S’mores Bars have me feeling incredibly nostalgic. Whenever I think of s’mores, I think back to my childhood, sitting by the campfire with my best friends.
Well, the good news is that no campfire is required to whip-up this treat. With my homemade bars, you can get the delicious flavor of s’mores with just a few easy steps.
I love these bars “s’more” each day! (See what I did there?)
Okay, okay, but seriously – these s’mores bars are out of this world! Imagine this: a bar filled with golden grahams cereal, fluffy marshmallows and an abundant amount of chocolate morsels. Do I have you drooling yet?
Ingredients:
- 5 cups golden grahams cereal
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (10 ounce) package marshmallows, divided
- 1 (11 ounce) bag milk chocolate morsels
Directions:
Coat a 9×13 casserole dish/baking pan with cooking spray.
Remove 1 cup of marshmallows from the bag and set aside.
Add butter in a large stock pot and melt over medium heat. Add the remaining marshmallows.
Stir butter and marshmallows until completely melted and remove from heat.
Add cereal and fold until completely coated with melted marshmallow mixture.
Carefully press the cereal into the baking dish and flatten into an even layer.
Sprinkle the top with the remaining 1 cup of marshmallows.
Melt milk chocolate morsels in the microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring between each interval.
Transfer melted milk chocolate to a piping bag and snip the corner. Use the piping bag to drizzle the chocolate evenly over the marshmallows and cereal. Spread with an offset spatula to keep the chocolate topping even.
Place in the refrigerator until the chocolate has set.
Remove from the refrigerator and cut into 20 even pieces.
For storage, keep bars in an airtight container.
