September 2018 VIP Crafters Club
Hey VIPs!! I’m so SO excited to start our second month of VIP Crafters Club! Thank you so much for being here. We are going to have fun this month! I have put together some beautiful cut files for you this month that I think you’re all going to LOVE. And the project that we will be doing for our crafting is something that you will be able to proudly display in your home, sell it, or give it away as a lovely gift to a dear friend.
This month we are making a beautiful fall sign of a mason jar (there are 4 design options for you to choose from) with a fall bouquet coming out of the sign. The 3-dimensional look is what makes this sign so cool! I can’t wait to see all of the different styles and colors everyone chooses.
The details for the crafting party and the materials needed are below. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I will also be updating this page throughout the month, as well as the Facebook page – and important updates will also be emailed to you.
Thank you so much for being here! I’m so excited to get to know you all better, and I can’t WAIT to craft with you!
Crafting Party Replay
If you’re like me, there’s a good chance you have a lot of these materials already lying around! I’ve outlined below what you’ll need to create this project with me. Not all of it is required, and I’ve listed which ones are optional below. Feel free to customize your project as you like – remember, this is your project! This list shows what I’ve used (or very similar items, since not everything can be found online). Looking forward to our Crafting Party!! (Note: this list contains affiliate links)
- Small Fall Bush/bouquet (I got mine at Michaels for around $5 with 40% off)
- 12″ x 14″ x 5/8″ Wood panel
You can use a soft wood like pine; make sure to sand the wood also. You can usually go to a hardware store and request to have a piece cut to size for you if you do not have the means to cut your own wood.
- Glue Gun and Glue Gun Sticks
I used a good amount of glue to adhere the florals to the board, so make sure you have enough hot glue on hand.
- Oramask 813 Stencil Vinyl
With your cutting machine (cut settings same as “vinyl”) please cut the below items found in the project cut files:
– Fall Mason Jar Stencil (choose one of the four options) should be cut to 6.75” tall
- Transfer Tape
- Wire cutters or scissors to cut the wire
- Chalk or Acrylic Paint (2 colors)
For the background color, I used Waverly chalk paint (Elephant) found at Walmart but any chalk paint will do! I also used a gold acrylic paint for the mason jar. You can use your choice of paint, but please be aware of drying time.
- Foam brush or makeup sponge
- Matte Mod Podge (optional but prevents bleeding)
- Super Fine Grit Sand Paper 400 or Fine Grit sand paper
- Tack cloth (optional but helps to remove dust after sanding)
