Materials List

If you’re like me, there’s a good chance you have a lot of these materials already lying around! I’ve outlined below what you’ll need to create this project with me. Not all of it is required, and I’ve listed which ones are optional below. Feel free to customize your project as you like – remember, this is your project! This list shows what I’ve used (or the closes match that I was able to find online). Looking forward to our Crafting Party!! (Note: this list may contain affiliate links)

The March project has a couple of different options.

Project A: Bike and Watercolor Butterflies

  1. Dollar store Watercolor Palette and Brush
  2. 2 Cups of Water
  3. Watercolor paper or white card stock
  4. Light Grip Cutting Mat
  5. Any type of board. I used this one from Chalk Couture but you can use any type of sanded board that you would like.
  6. Masking Tape
  7. Quilling Tool OR a cotton swab and scissors (for the rolled flowers)
  8. Oramask 813 Stencil Film
With your cutting machine (cut settings same as “vinyl”) please cut the objects in the “bike” file, sized as needed based on the size of your board
  9. Chalk Paint
  10. Mod Podge
  11. Fine Sand Paper (300 or 400 grit)
  12. Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

Project B: Butterflies in Heart Shape w/ Shadow Box

  1. Shadow Box (I got a 9″x12″ on sale at Michaels)
You might need a scraper tool to remove the foam background layer that is glued on
  2. Colored Cardstock (for the butterflies) – I found a pack with different shades of pink at Michaels. The subtle difference in shade gave the project a nice ombre look! Cut 3-5 sheets/shades of butterflies
  3. Light Grip Cutting Mat
  4. Duck Deco Adhesive Laminate Shelf Liner (patterned shelf liner – I used a wood pattern and found it at Walmart)
  5. Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Box Frame (6.5×18.5)

    Chalk Couture $19.99
  • Chalk Paint

    Supplies $15.99
  • Mod Podge

    Supplies $13.49
